27th October 2025 – Don and the Deep State. Trump and his Spoooks

Peter Newbury, who gave an excellent and well received talk on the American Political system in March, will discuss how and why Trump’s relationship with the US intelligence community is tempestuous and why it matters to us.

Peter was head of History at Melbourne Grammar school and had an extended period living and working in the US. He is a member of Melbourne U3A and has contributed many talks there.
